Just a family of photographers trying to love our clients well & spread kindness like sprinkles. We believe love is our greatest legacy. Oh, and we like cake, cookies, all treats really. We aren't picky. Want to be friends?
Wow…I don’t even know where to start with this one. This evening was nothing short of spectacular, seriously! Let me start from the beginning. I was contacted by Michele from “The Heart Bandits” (You have to check them out! I didn’t even know there was such a thing as a proposal planner, but let me tell you, it’s genius & they are so good at what they do!) who planned a proposal that I photographed back in June. (That one was great too! Phil & Roxanne) Anyway, Santiago told Cristine that they were going to take a private chocolate baking class at Dream Cakes in Conroe. They baked for about an hour with Edit, the super sweet owner of the store. At 8 pm, I arrived to “take photos of the class for Edit’s blog” or at least that’s what we told Cristine. I have to be honest, I was pretty nervous right before I went in… I mean, I didn’t want to be the one to mess up this AMAZING, super well planned out proposal. I had to go in there and act like Edit was one of my friends and play it cool, when in reality we had never even met… lol! Anyway, everything went so perfectly! Cristine didn’t suspect a thing and it was such a romantic proposal. I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking…
Mmmm… cake balls!
After the frosting was made, Cristine walked right by it and had to taste it of course! It was super cute…Seriously, how cute are these two?! They were so incredibly sweet too! I wish they lived in Houston. So then Edit blindfolded Cristine so “she could really focus on the flavor of the desserts”… ; ) … she pretended to blindfold Santiago : ) Then Santiago led her into the main storefront… …which looked like this : ) and smelled like heaven!
… as if this wasn’t enough, an amazing violinist was playing their favorite songs…… and of course, she said yes! : D… and then they just chatted, drinking champagne, while Santiago explained all of the details. They were speaking spanish almost the whole time so it really
helped me to work on my espanol. ; ) She just kept repeating, “Es perfecto!! Es perfecto.” It was so incredibly sweet.
(I actually got a little video of that so I’ll try to post it on facebook)
Oh and he also had everyone in on the surprise so right after the proposal, they went over to his Aunt’s to celebrate with friends & family! How cute is that?
Cristine + Santiago, you two are so perfect for each other! I’m so incredibly grateful that I got to photograph this darling proposal!
Seriously, this is the kind of thing that girls dream about! Congratulations you two!!!! : D
This was all put together thanks to a handful of amazing vendors:
