Just in case you don’t know, I have been dating this wonderful man named Kellan since April 2012.  To say he’s amazing would be the biggest understatement but sometimes I just don’t have the words to describe how much I love this guy.  Some of you know that Kellan is also my wonderful & super talented second shooter at weddings!  He is crazy good and this isn’t even his main job.  He just likes to shoot with me & it’s so fun to get to photograph weddings together!

 I knew right away that he was the one, even before we had kissed!  He’s just so sweet to me & kind to everyone!  He is a great son, a sweet brother, a thoughtful friend, and an amazing boyfriend!  He’s incredibly goofy & makes me laugh almost all the time! He’s so perfect for me & has brought me so much closer to God.   I’m so incredibly grateful for him every day but I figured since it’s Valentine’s day I could share a new little piece of our story! : )

Kellan took me to Fredricksburg, TX this past weekend and it was seriously the perfect trip! We stayed at the Hangar Hotel, which was AMAZING!

Kellan & I agreed that they have the best malted shake in the whole world! It was insane! 

We shopped all around town and basically took photos all day… I guess that’s what you get when you are dating a photographer! ; )
Only in Texas…We had lunch at the Rathskeller, also super amazing! Kellan said his Turkey Ruben was the best he’s ever had!!  Can’t you see his excitement!? 🙂 LOL  I just love how goofy this guy is! So then Kellan took me to Enchanted Rock to hike up to the top! I had never even heard of it but it was so much fun! It kind of made me feel like we were on the moon or something! : )We always bring our camera everywhere because we both love taking photos so I didn’t really think too much of it when Kellan insisted on bringing the tripod so we could set the camera on a timer to take photos…… what I didn’t know was that after about 5 photos he ran over to the camera, hit the timer again like he did before, ran back over to me and said “Here’s your warning!”  We talked about getting married a lot beforehand and I had mentioned a few weeks before that I would like a little warning before he proposed so that I made sure to put makeup on that day  ; ) and he proceeded to just laugh at me but anyway, back to the story… then he got down on one knee and PROPOSED!!!! It was the sweetest thing! : D
I think I was in totally happiness shock! LOL  Sunsets are my favorite part of the day and Kellan knew that so watching the sunset with this amazing view was just exactly what I wanted.  God was really looking out for us because the weather had been so cold and dreary for the past few weeks.  Kellan said he prayed and prayed for good weather and it turned out to be 70 & sunny for us!  It could not have been more perfect! : D  We just sat there snuggled together, soaking it all in and watching the sunset. Kellan, I adore you with all of my heart and I’m so over-the-moon excited that we are getting married!!! You are the greatest blessing to me and I’m so excited that you are my sweet valentine for life! : )
