Jenn & Doug’s Ashton Gardens West Wedding

First of all, I just knew Jenn and Doug’s Ashton Gardens West wedding would be incredibly sweet and so emotional! I came fully prepared with a fresh little box of tissues that I carried on me all day. Believe me, it didn’t take long before that little box was empty!

Because this was my first wedding to photograph pregnant, I planned for even more tears than normal! Cue the pregnancy hormones! ; D

Getting Ready at Hotel Sorella

I loved how Jenn’s blush dress paired perfectly with the pink bridesmaid’s dresses, subtle and so classy. Also, just wait until you see these sweet girls in all of their dresses!

Okay so after this wedding, it’s safe to say I’m officially obsessed with Wolf Diamonds! And these beautiful mini leather boxes? I’m in love!

This might be the sweetest gift exchange yet. Doug gave Jenn a beautiful box filled with all of their treasured cards to each other from holidays, birthdays & just love notes. Along with that, Doug included a sweet card for their wedding day. Cue all the tears, y’all!

First Look with Dad

When I met Jenn’s dad a few weeks before the wedding, I could see exactly where Jenn got all of her sweetest! This man is a doll! He guessed we were having a girl before we knew. He told us how much he loved his two girls saying “girls are just the best.”  Seeing their first look and gift exchange melted this momma-to-be! I can’t wait for this moment with Kellan and our daughter one day.

We always love seeing sweet letters to dad. But when they are printed on a handkerchief, it’s next level! This thoughtful gift was well used all day to wipe his happy tears.

The Ceremony

Maria, Houston’s floral genius, with Maxit Floral Design transformed Ashton Gardens West into a secret garden!

We let Jenn & Doug borrow the cross that we built for our wedding.  So, of course, it was extra special seeing how beautifully Maria adorned it with florals. Then getting to see Jenn & Doug make their vows in front of it, just like we did!

Jenn and Doug texted us the day after their wedding saying how glad they were about doing a first look! Just wait until you see her walk down the aisle. I promise this first look moment didn’t take anything away from that one! : )

What did I tell you? : ) This look is everything!

The Ballroom Reception at Ashton Gardens West

Jenn might be one of the most thoughtful brides we’ve ever met! She had these custom cookies made for her wedding party. Since we just found out we are having a girl, Jenn had one special made for us that said “Congrats! It’s a girl!”  What a gem you are, Jenn!

Nadine with Who Made the Cake? really knocked it out of the park with these two stunning cakes.

Doug’s nickname is downtown Doug. So, of course, his groom’s cake was his own little downtown. They even included their sweet pup, Brady! Brady starred in their engagement photos last fall.

Jenn & Doug, we are so thrilled for y’all! Marriage is the best gift.
