Warner and Thomas’ Canyonwood Ridge Austin Wedding was as sweet as it was stunning! The glowing sunshine made for the perfect Texas December wedding day! But the best part was just how full of love the day was. It represented this incredible couple perfectly!

While we really love being Houston wedding photographers and focusing on local weddings, destination weddings will always have a special place in our hearts. The Austin hill country is the perfect place for a destination wedding without having to go too far!

We were so thrilled when Warner and Thomas picked us to photograph their gorgeous Austin destination wedding! Shortly after, I found out I was expecting our second girl with a due date just a week before their big day. Of course! #facepalm!

Thankfully Warner is one of the absolute sweetest brides we’ve ever had! (And our brides are SUPER sweet y’all!) She was so understanding and kind and we are forever grateful! We hate having to make changes like that when we know how stressful wedding planning can be.

Alyssa and Kellan drove up to Austin to photograph their Austin hill country wedding day! I wished so badly I could go with them! Even though I didn’t get to be there firsthand, I felt like I was there when I went through all the sweet photos from the day!

Warner and Thomas have been together for over 8 years y’all! They are truly so sweet together. When I asked what their favorite things about each other are Thomas said “her smile, her courage to be different, her desire to always improve herself, and her fearlessness to go after what she wants.” They are both dreamers and true go-getters!

Warner said, “I love his compassion and truly kind heart (he has never met a stranger), his patience, his drive and unrelenting pursuit of his dreams, his willingness to get dessert always, and how loved he makes me feel!” How sweet is that?! I have no doubt these two will do whatever it takes to have a beautiful and happy marriage together!

How and why they picked their venue & vendors

“Thomas actually picked the venue! He said, “yep, this is the one” as soon as we walked in, and it just felt perfect for both of us. Not only is it a stunning venue, but the view is also incredible overlooking the beautiful Texas hill country!

Our amazing photographers (you!) were the second thing we booked. Photography was very important to us and we were so excited to work with y’all to capture such a special day in our lives! We knew for a fact we would be in wonderful hands with you!

“Even if everything feels overwhelming and stressful during the planning process, just remember that even if all the details fall through, you get to marry the love of your life at the end of the day and that’s all that matters!

Go through pre-marriage counseling! We’d been dating for 8 years before we got married and thought we had discussed it all, but it was incredibly helpful to really dive into important topics with a great source of guidance and support.” – Warner
