Is there anything cuter than a snuggly newborn baby!? Maybe a baby with bunny-themed newborn photos! Sera’s parents call her their “little bunny” so fresh carrots were a must for her very first baby photos! We dolled up the carrots with a handful of flowers. Her handmade outfits couldn’t have fit the scene more perfectly. Between the knit bunny ears and the darling floral romper, we were in heaven!
You might remember Rachel from her gender reveal session last year! Rachel, Sera’s sweet momma, is on our Cotton team and we just love her to pieces! She is the greatest blessing to us and our queen of kindness! If you’ve ever met her then you know that first hand!
I have no doubt that little Seraphina will grow up to have an incredible heart of gold, just like her momma! It was an honor to get to photograph Sera when she was just a few weeks old! Here are a few of our favorites along with our advice for moms-to-be about being in the photos with your newborn!
Lauren, one of our sweet wedding videographers, actually made this beautiful floral romper and matching baby blanket! I’m pretty sure I don’t even have the skills to google how to make something this magical happen! ;P So needless to say, we were impressed! Lauren is expecting her own little one this fall and we couldn’t be happier for her!
So many of our sweet parents request to only have photos taken of their newborn and I get it! Trust me, I just had a baby in March! I know you don’t really feel like yourself 5 days postpartum. Heck, you may not feel like yourself for months! But I want to encourage you to change your mind!
Your precious, perfect, 7-pound baby is only going to be that tiny for a second! Seriously, you may think you have all the time in the world but I promise you, you don’t! You will blink and he/she will be 6 months old. They will only fit in your arms, snuggled up so tightly for a short time. Kinsey, our baby girl, is already over being held like a baby! ; (
Also, as much as you think these photos are for you, they aren’t. These photos are for your baby! He/she will get to grow and see how adorable and perfect they were at just a few days old. He/she will want to see YOU, their mother/father, in those photos! I would give anything to have a photo of my mom and me when I was a newborn.
Your baby won’t care about how you look or how you feel about yourself! He/she will just see the beautiful, perfect, loving mother and father that brought them into this world! It will be a blessing to them, I promise you that!
Seeing just how tiny her feet are in your husband’s and your hands will make throwing some makeup and real clothes on totally worth it! ; )
I mean, come on, these snuggles don’t last forever! #meltme! Is it too soon to have baby fever?!
I loved the bunny-themed newborn photos for Sera because they were meaningful to Rachel and Matt. It’s always nice to find something unique about your family and incorporate that into your session!
This knit bunny outfit was perfect for Sera’s bunny themed newborn photos!
How gorgeous is Rachel!? Sera, you are a lucky little babe to have this sweetheart for your momma!
I even got to hold Sera for a bit! I was about 10 weeks pregnant with our baby girl, which made me even more excited for what was to come!
Little Sera, you are surely a light in this world and we can’t wait to celebrate you today at your very first birthday party! We love you!
