We usually only host one weekend of Houston Christmas mini sessions! But this year we had more interest than ever before so we decided to open up a second weekend to fit in our sweet Cotton families before my maternity leave!
I’ve been a Houston wedding photographer for over a decade but families have always had a place in my heart!
It wasn’t until I had Kinsey, my first daughter, that I realized just how necessary mini sessions are for toddler life! 20 minutes is about all you can get with most kiddos so the timing is just perfect.

2019 Houston Christmas Mini Sessions
I still can’t believe how incredible the weather was for us for all 4 days! 3 days of sunshine with only 1 cloudy day and praise the Lord for no rain!
It rained all week and then was beautiful on the weekend! I couldn’t be more grateful for that because rescheduling this many families would have been tough!

I’m so excited to share these sweet families with y’all and a little recap of the second weekend of our outdoor Houston Christmas mini sessions!
Janet & Raymond have been together for 25 years, y’all! Isn’t that amazing!? So, of course, we had to celebrate with a mini session!
Janet is actually helping us with our home/construction loan and we couldn’t be more grateful for her!
This sweet couple could most definitely be J. Crew models! It was so great meeting Emily & Ken before their big move home to Florida!
It was so sweet meeting Thomas and Jennifer’s little man! The last time I photographed them, she was pregnant! So it was fun to see them now as parents!
I mean, come on! 😀 Too cute with his reindeer hat!
Elle is actually a fabulous wedding planner with Keely Thorne Events! We hosted a full day of family mini sessions for their whole team but she wasn’t able to make it so we snuck her session in this weekend instead!
I can’t get over how charming little Luke was! This was my first time meeting them and he was all smiles for the camera!
We had the honor of photographing Katherine and Beaux’s stunning southern wedding back in 2016 and we’ve been friends ever since! They are truly two of the sweetest people we’ve ever met!
Katherine now works as a fabulous Houston wedding planner with Lean On Me Events. She very thoughtfully put together this sweet teepee set up for the kiddos!
Sunday Recap | Houston Christmas Minis
After 3 days of sunny Houston Christmas mins, we were bound to have one day of overcast. But that’s okay because at least we didn’t have any rain!
You hardly even notice the sun missing with all these sweet smiling faces!
Kellan (the hubby) actually went to grade school with Omar and reconnected with him recently in our neighborhood! Once we all got together, I knew we’d be fast friends!
I had the pleasure of photographing their sweet son’s newborn session back in August so it was so great seeing them at this year’s Christmas minis too!
Little Kai has gotten so big and his twin sisters just keep getting prettier and prettier! Love this family!
The sweet McGee family blew me away! These girls are natural models, y’all! It was literally a walk in the park with these 4! : D
Alyssa photographed Jordan and Brian’s wedding last year so I was thrilled to get to meet them in person! Their boys are absolutely HILARIOUS!
Judy brought her fur babies for their Christmas portraits! Sweet little puppy dogs!
I got to meet Sofia & Diego and their sweet little son! How cute is Julian?!
The last time I saw this crew was right when Juliana was born for her precious in-home newborn session. I can’t believe how big they both have gotten! I adore this sweet family!
This fresh little newborn gal did so well for her first little family photoshoot. We are so happy for Ana & Christopher and their newest addition!
One of my favorite newborn sessions ever was for this little doll right here, miss Landry! I can’t believe somehow she’s 3!
Last but not least, I was so happy to see these cuties again after the photoshoot we did in the spring!

While I’m sad that it’s over, I’m even more excited for 2020 and the launch of our very first home studio in Garden Oaks/Oak Forest! This has been a dream for over a decade!
With that will come SO many fun mini sessions and I can’t wait to share all about it in the coming months.
Since I will be on maternity leave from December to early March, our next minis will most likely be spring minis in the studio!
