Erin and Cameron’s winter wedding at the Farmhouse in Magnolia overflowed with gorgeous magnolia leaves and sentimental details. With all the rain on their wedding day, there’s bound to be a ton of luck! Erin and Cameron didn’t let the rain ruin their sweet day. Simple and elegant, it was the perfect winter wedding!
We first met Erin as a bridesmaid in her best friend Cece’s wedding back in 2015. When we received her email last summer we were elated to hear she was engaged! Cece married John Cochran so when Erin inquired and mention she was engaged to Cameron Cochran, I immediately thought they would be related! Turns out it was just a coincident!
“For the most part, I’d give vendors a simple idea of what I’d like and they would take that idea and foster it into something way more amazing than I could have put together myself. I quickly realized that letting the experts do their job and listening to their advice & suggestions was usually the way to go. They do this on a weekly basis and as an added bonus it was way less stressful to give those trusty vendors the reigns, all with your design in mind.”
“It can be easy to get lost in all of the small details of planning the wedding day. Just remember that marriage is the focus. Taking a one day class at a local church, reading marriage prep books, or attending a weekly class to discover ways to learn about each other and encourage one another are good ways to start off on the right foot.” – Erin
“I was lucky enough to snag most of the vendors by suggestions from our lovely coordinator, Lean On Me Events, and photographer. : ) I chose the color scheme based off of the flower I wanted as the focal point for our floral design-the magnolia, a tribute to my late maternal grandmother, who was the essence of a steel magnolia.”
“For the dress, my mom and I were casually searching for wedding shoes. We decided that I should try on some dresses for fun while we were at one of the boutiques. It was just the two of us and one of my favorite memories of the wedding prep process. That day really encompassed our personalities: low key and casual, not a huge ordeal, and going with our gut. I’m so glad it worked out that way!” – Erin
When Erin was in high school, she created this sweet board filled “Erin’s wedding plans” with her best friend. Isn’t that adorable? Oh, life before Pinterest! ; )
We loved their set up and the incredible florals by Megan Chandler with LBJ Florals! The magnolia leaf table runners coupled with soft linens and custom glassware by Revisionist Events made for the perfect winter reception setup. It was so great seeing John and Cece again and all these sweet bridesmaids!
Erin and Cameron, we are so happy for you and can’t wait to see what your future holds!
