The Perfect Time To Take Maternity Photos

We always get asked when the perfect time to take maternity photos is. And the truth is that everyone is unique. Every woman shows a bit differently. I did my maternity photos about 2 months and 2 weeks before our due date. The timing was perfect because I wasn’t feeling too big or uncomfortable but I definitely had a full belly in the photos! ; )

With your second or third baby, you might be showing sooner. If that’s the case, taking maternity photos around the 6th or 7th-month mark would be great. If your belly just hasn’t “popped”, you might not be showing until 6 months. Taking photos around 7.5 or 8.5 months might be better for you.

For Amber, she did hers about two months and a week prior to her due date, which I think was the perfect time to take maternity photos for her! She was happy, comfortable, and looked gorgeous! For the record, we just saw her last week and she still looks AMAZING! She might be a true pregnancy unicorn! #goals

Amber’s Maternity Session at Eleanor Tinsley Park

Doesn’t Amber look stunning?! This sweet, southern momma-to-be and her adoring husband Charles will be welcoming a precious baby girl any day now! So I thought it would be the perfect time to share their golden maternity session with y’all!

I don’t know that I’ve ever been so excited about a maternity session! Amber and I have due dates only about 1 month apart so every step of the process with them has reminded me I’m only a little bit behind! Once their little girl arrives, I won’t know anyone else who is due before me! That blows my mind! Our little girl is almost here and boy will she have a lot of little friends her age! : D

After getting to know these sweethearts during their shoot, I was pretty sure we were destined to be friends. So we set up a double date so they could meet Kellan!! That right there is the best part of this “job,” all of the amazing people we meet and become friends with!

I loved Amber’s gorgeous pink dress from Pinkblush! When I got pregnant, I ordered a ton of maternity clothes from there and love them!

Also, I was so impressed that Amber came up with not one but two amazing maternity outfits for their shoot! I was lucky to find one dress that fit for our maternity photos! ; )
